Hi I was interested in buying the ProtoPack but wanted to know what format the models come in? At present I use Blitz Basic, C# and am slowy wrapping my head around Unity. Is it possible to get the models in a .X or .3ds format?

thanks for your time,
Chris

Hello,

The ProtoPack includes Unity and FBX file formats, no X or 3DS format.
Feel free to contact me if you have more questions.

Blackpanter,

FBX files were removed from the last ProtoPack version because of compatibility issues with some 3D packages.

If you need the FBX files you can extract them from the unitypackage in Uniy3D.
And if you don't have Unity3D, feel free to contact me (christophe@frogames.com), I'll provide some help.

I will try extracting then from the unity package first and If I can't figure out how to do that I will contact you.

Thanks.

Hello,

I'm doing the exact same thing.  Blackpanther (or anyone else) did you have any success with this?  Did all the materials and animations transfer?

For us slower people, where is the option to convert in Unity3D?  Is it only avaliable in the purchased copy?

Thanks,

Yeah I extracted them with out a problem using the free version of unity.

I'm only using a few item from the pack at the moment and everything seems to be fine for me so far.

I can't remember how I extracted them but it was fairly easy from what I remember.
