Hello Everyone,

I have been attempting to export the source files of the Warriors & Commoners pack to DTS and have been running into issues:

When exporting from Milkshape to DTS the objects are transformed into skinny twig-like objects

When exporting from 3dMax 8.0 via max2dtsexporterpro, I receive an error "Mesh "spine" not hooked up to shape."

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Hello,

If you have to export the characters again, I assume you made some change. Can you tell me what changes did you make?

Actually - I havent made any changes...  I plan to, but as test, I simply loaded the original source file and attempted to export it ( same in Milkshape and Max )

Ok.
I use 3DSMax 7, so I can't test the export process for 3DSMax 8, sorry :/
Concerning MilkShape, did you export the character and test it in TGE?

When I export with Milkshape, the characters appear to be in the lowest LOD at all times...

Well, that means the export process works, even if it's not perfect.

The LOD problem may comes from the LOD setup in the file and/or your screen resolution (TGE LOD are based on the pixel size of a model, so its different for each screen resolution). So maybe the default LOD setup is not appropriate.

Thank you!
Christophe

PS : Also, I remember some LOD problems can be fixed using unmessDTS.

Interestingly:  The exported shape shows correctly when added to the engine as a static shape... but not as a player object...

Thanks for looking into this... I've email the dts and a screenshot of my results...  btw: the dts is an export of the original cs_muscle.ms3d file.

Forgot to mention:  After exporting with Milkshape - I did have to run unMessDts on the DTS file...
