Hi Christophe,

I'm integrating the character system into the RTS I'm writing.  So far, it looks nice and I'm very happy with it!

I have some suggestions for additional animations to add to the CS.  I think these would make the CS more suitable for RTSs in general (and for mine in particular):

Have animations for:

* harvesting wood: have the character swing an axe, probably side-to-side, as in at a tree
* mining gold/ore: have the character swing a pick axe, probably overhead
* carrying a load:  have the character walking with arms out front, palms upwards, and leaning backwards slightly
* constructing / repairing a building:  have the character hammering and/or sawing
* constructing a road:  have the character down on his knees, laying bricks or something (? not sure what action would look best for this activity)
* farming: working with a hoe
* holding / firing a pistol
* holding / firing a rifle

I think many RTS games would benefit from animations like these, the actions they represent are nearly ubiquitous across RTSs.  They'd make great additions to the CS imho.

oops, thanks for moving this post to the right forum.

Looks like many of these animation suggestions already got mentioned too.
